Brochure Available Free to Diplomates

Last year, we overhauled the board certification brochure available to diplomates and, this year, we're doing one better. We're changing the price — to nothing.

"Our bulk order pricing was intended to simply cover the cost of printing and distribution," says Kim Van Brunt, ABPMR Senior Communications Specialist. "But it's integral to the ABPMR mission to provide patient education about the value of board certification. We wanted to remove any barrier to diplomates wanting to show how becoming certified sets them apart."

The brochure, re-titled Your health is in good hands: About Board Certification by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, covers the value of board certification and the process of becoming certified and maintaining certification. It also includes basic information about the specialty of physical medicine and rehabilitation, the most common conditions treated, and the subspecialties that fall under the ABPMR.

"It's a great overview brochure of how physiatrists help patients every day, as well as demonstrating how much you've accomplished to become board certified," says Van Brunt.

Diplomates can now request the brochure in quantities of 25 - 100, or request the electronic file for printing on demand. Simply contact the ABPMR office with your name and mailing address, and we'll send them directly to you at no cost.
