New, Simplified ABPMR.org Built with Users in Mind

Welcome to your new ABPMR.org! The new website represents a complete overhaul of all navigation and content from the previous site. Here are some of the features we're most proud of:

Simplified, customized navigation

The previous website had multiple menus and links that unexpectedly open a PDF instead of a new page. In the new site, a streamlined top navigation highlights the key functions of the board and expands from there.

In addition, after you sign in using the link above, the navigation bar features a customized list of links just for you. This list changes depending on your role with the board — i.e., diplomates, ABPMR volunteers, and ABPMR board directors will all have different links to pages you need to access.

In addition to being planned with our key users in mind, the new site went through multiple rounds of user testing before launch, ensuring that many different kinds of users could find what they needed.

Streamlined content

The new site also reduced the number of pages across the site by more than half — mostly the result of eliminating duplicated information. Key details of examinations and processes that formerly were housed on PDF only have been summarized in an easy-to-read format on the site as well, so even with a lower web page count, we've increased the value of the information presented on each page.

For those of you who were used to the PDFs, don't worry — they're still available for now, and currently they have the most detailed information. So if you're still wondering about a logistics detail for an exam, be sure to read through the PDF.

A new home for ABPMR news

We now have an ABPMR News Center, which features the latest board news, posted in real time. Our Diplomate News newsletter was a vestige of a former time, when the news was printed and mailed to diplomates on a biannual basis. Now, news releases and updates will be posted as they happen, with a small news digest sent to diplomates via email periodically to remind you to check the website for the latest information from the board.

Clean, pleasing design

And finally, as you have already seen, the new website has a modern design with a new color scheme, typography, and custom icon set for wayfinding and context cues. We want you to find the information you need on ABPMR.org, and these design elements work together to do just that.
