ABPMR Winter Board Meeting: Board Director News

At the ABPMR Winter Board Meeting in January 2023, two new directors were elected to serve on the ABPMR board.

We would like to welcome Graham Sisson Jr, JD, PhD and Shashank Davé, DO who were elected to the Board of Directors and will start their first term August 1, 2023.

Dr. Sisson is the new Public Member of the Board. He has served as the Director for the Governor's Office on Disability for the state of Alabama for more than 15 years. He is an adjunct professor at Auburn University, his alma mater, in the Department of Rehabilitation and Special Education, College of Education. He has a jurisprudence degree from Vanderbilt University and has served as a law professor, State ADA Coordinator, and Assistant Attorney General to name a few of his prestigious roles.

Since 2016, Dr. Davé has served as Associate Professor of Clinical PM&R at Indiana University (IU) School of Medicine, after previously serving as Assistant Professor since 2005. He completed his education and training in Chicago with undergraduate work and residency at Loyola University, and medical school at Midwestern College of Osteopathic Medicine. He has served as a volunteer for the ABPMR for more than 10 years.
