What To Do If a Weather Event Affects Examination Dates

At the ABPMR, our hearts go out to those affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma.

For some of you in affected areas with upcoming examination dates, these storms have introduced another layer of anxiety to the exam preparation process. As we have with weather events during examination dates in the past, the ABPMR is ready to help.

The subspecialty exam date for Pain Medicine is coming up this Saturday, September 9; candidates in hurricane-affected areas have already been informed that the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA), which is the administering board for that exam, has decided to extend the examination window for those areas. If you are in an affected area and need to change your exam appointment, please call the ABA at 866-999-7501.

The ABPMR will continue monitoring any storms and after-effects that may impact our upcoming Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Examination on October 23, 2017.

If you have any concerns about being able to take the ABPMR MOC Examination as scheduled, please contact the board office with your concerns.
