Incoming Board Directors - 2024

At the ABPMR Winter Board Meeting in January 2024, two new directors were elected to serve on the ABPMR board. We would like to welcome Monica Baldridge, MD and David Lin, MD who were elected to the Board of Directors and will start their first term August 1, 2024.

Dr. Monica Baldridge serves as the Senior Medical Director for Post-Acute Care Management at Optum. She was previously the Medical Director of the Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit at Memorial Hermann TIRR – The Woodlands and Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Texas McGovern Medical School. Her clinical interests include brain injury and stroke rehabilitation and spasticity management in addition to utilization management. She holds subspecialty certification in brain injury rehabilitation. Dr. Baldridge has been an ABPMR oral examiner for ten years, a dedicated member of the AAPM&R, AAP, and the ABPMR, she has published extensive amounts of research and has been nominated for Physician of the Year three times.

Dr. David Lin is one of the ABPMR’s most dedicated volunteers and the only PM&R physician to be board certified in four specialties: Brain Injury Medicine, Neuromuscular Medicine, Spinal Cord Injury Medicine, and Sports Medicine. Growing up in Birmingham, Alabama, he received his medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He joined New York-Presbyterian Hospital in 2003, after completing a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at New York University/Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine in New York, where he served as Chief Resident. He is currently the Medical Director of the Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit at the Weill Cornell Medical Center/New York Presbyterian Hospital.
